The new outpost, simply dubbed Madeleine, marks a fresh chapter for the brand, which first launched in South Park in 2010 and later expanded to North Park in 2015. Unlike its sister cafes, the Barrio Logan location leans further into owner Christine Perez's Mexican-American heritage while preserving the cozy, European café aesthetic that made Café Madeleine a local favorite.
Menu highlights include creative takes on classics, such as a croque monsieur with chorizo, serrano ham eggs benedict, crepa con rajas, and a tortilla española. Guests will still find fan favorites like Nutella crepes, paninis, and French pastries, alongside new drink offerings like a mole-inspired mocha espresso and sangria spritzers. A rotating selection of beer and wine is also available.
Located on the ground floor of the Los Patios mixed-use complex, the new café features a bright and inviting courtyard space for guests to linger over breakfast, brunch, or coffee. The grand opening celebration is set for Wednesday, June 25, from 8am to 4pm, with complimentary bites, live music from local artists, and giveaways planned throughout the day. Plans are also in motion for additional expansion, including a grab-and-go coffee stand at the County Administration Center set to open in August.
