Hawaiian Reggae Phenoms Maoli Bring "Last Sip of Summer" Tour To San Diego's The Rady Shell On July 18

Polynesian reggae sensation Maoli is set to light up the bayfront on Friday, July 18, when the band brings its highly acclaimed Last Sip of Summer tour to The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park in downtown San Diego.

Often referred to as Hawaii and Polynesia’s top independent commercial recording act, Maoli’s genre-blending sound has earned them a loyal international following - and their upcoming show promises to be a high-energy celebration of island culture and music. Fronted by charismatic vocalist Glenn Awong, Maoli has been making waves in the reggae and island music scene since forming in 2007. The group’s melodic mix of reggae, soul, and R&B has taken them across the globe, from the U.S. mainland to New Zealand, Australia, and the broader South Pacific.

The band's breakout success includes sweeping iHeart’s Island Music Awards, earning Group of the Year and Album of the Year in 2020 for Sense of Purpose, followed by Album of the Year and Song of the Year honors in 2021. Their recent Maoli Music Overload (MMO) tour drew over 45,000 fans across Hawaii and packed venues during their U.S. run, including major festival appearances at Cali Roots and Holo Holo Fest in Sacramento.

The July 18 San Diego stop is presented by AEG/Goldenvoice and is a rental event of The Rady Shell. The San Diego Symphony will not be performing at this show. Doors open at 6pm and pre-paid parking is available via a dedicated Ace Parking portal for this event. For diehard fans, a VIP "Maoli Meet & Greet Experience" package is available, featuring premium seating, early entry, a pre-show photo op with the band, signed memorabilia, exclusive merch, and more.
