Known for its customizable smash burgers, real ingredients, and chef-driven philosophy, Farm To Smash has taken over over the former Juicy Burger spot at 3555 Rosecrans Street, Suite 109 in the Point Loma area, with a soft opening set for Sunday, July 27. A third location is also planned for Carlsbad, with details on that site expected to be announced in the coming months.
Launched just six months ago by Chef Ray, Farm To Smash was inspired by his family’s personal shift toward health-conscious eating—specifically cutting out seed oils and processed foods. That journey sparked a mission to offer something different: a fast-casual burger joint focused on fresh, real food made with integrity. The original location at 1604 E Valley Parkway in Escondido quickly gained a loyal following for its no-compromise menu and quality-driven philosophy.
At Farm To Smash, everything is made fresh daily - no shortcuts, no preservatives, and absolutely no seed oils. Burgers are crafted with 100% fresh, never frozen beef, smashed and seared to crispy perfection. Signature options include The Rodeo with bacon, pickles, American cheese, and house spread; the Garlic Mushroom with sautéed mushrooms and garlic spread; the spicy Flamin’ Smash with fresh jalapeños and chipotle sauce; and The Original with grilled onions, pickles, American cheese, and signature spread. All burgers are served on fresh-baked buns, paired with fries cooked in premium beef tallow, and topped with house-made avocado oil-based sauces. Guests can also indulge in hand-spun milkshakes and organic agave-sweetened lemonade.
The expansion signals a growing appetite in San Diego for fast food that doesn’t cut corners. With its welcoming vibe, transparent ingredients, and family-style cooking ethos, Farm To Smash hopes to quickly set a new standard in the local burger scene.
