The shift follows recent changes to Beer Week’s format and schedule; this year's Capital of Craft restores a large, countywide kickoff under the Guild’s banner. The event will take over the San Diego Harley-Davidson Festival Grounds off Morena Boulevard.

On stage, America’s self-proclaimed #1 ’80s party band FlashPants headlines with support from DJ Twon Burgundy, keeping the energy high all afternoon. Beyond beer, guests can expect food vendors and a makers' market featuring local arts and crafts. A portion of proceeds benefits the nonprofit San Diego Brewers Guild and its advocacy and education work for independent brewers.
