Savannah Bananas Announce Return To San Diego's Petco Park For Two Nights Of Banana Ball On March 21–22

After selling out Petco Park and turning baseball upside down in September 2025, the Savannah Bananas are returning for another round of fast-paced, fan-first fun. Mark your calendars as Banana Ball returns to downtown San Diego on March 21 and 22, 2026.

Back by popular demand, the Bananas will face off against the brand-new Loco Beach Coconuts in what’s sure to be another unforgettable mashup of athleticism, comedy, and chaos. The ticket lottery is already open, giving fans the chance to secure early access.

To enter, join the Savannah Bananas Ticket Lottery List and select San Diego as your City of Interest. While joining doesn’t guarantee tickets, a random drawing about two months before the event will determine who gets the opportunity to purchase. Suites are also available for this special two-day engagement - interested parties can contact the Padres for more details.

For the uninitiated, Banana Ball is baseball reimagined: no bunting, a strict two-hour time limit, fans catching foul balls for outs, batters stealing first base, and ties settled with a one-on-one pitcher-batter showdown. What started as a small collegiate team in Savannah, Georgia, has evolved into a touring sensation that’s selling out MLB ballparks nationwide.

When the Bananas first visited San Diego, Petco Park was electric. Our review called it “pure joy - a civic mood lift that made even the ushers grin.” Between dance-offs, choreographed in-game routines, a “Dad Bod Cheer Squad,” and a back-flip game-ending catch, the show blended humor, heart, and high-level play and surprises like Padres Hall of Famer Trevor Hoffman closing out the second game. Expect their 2026 return to be bigger, louder, and even more bananas, with the same mix of baseball and spectacle that’s captivated millions across the country.
