Former Vice President Kamala Harris Bringing “A Conversation with Kamala Harris” Tour to San Diego This April

Former Vice President Kamala Harris is taking her message on the road with a nationwide speaking tour titled A Conversation with Kamala Harris, which includes a stop at San Diego Civic Theatre on April 6, 2026.

The tour coincides with the release of her new book, 107 Days, published by Simon & Schuster, which she describes as a look inside the 2024 race for the presidency “as no one ever has before.” It is believed that every ticket for the event comes with a copy of the book.

Ticket prices for the San Diego stop range widely - from $89 for the cheapest seats to $447.20 for closer orchestra tickets. VIP Meet & Greet packages, priced at $830.70, include a photo with Harris and a signed copy of her book. Interestingly, sales are limited to buyers with billing addresses within 150 miles of the venue, a restriction that will result in cancellation and refunds for any orders outside the designated area.

During the program, Harris will share what she calls “surprising and revealing insights” into one of the most unpredictable presidential campaigns in modern history, reflecting on what she saw, what she learned, and her views on the direction the country should take next. According to event materials, she will discuss how to “collectively chart a blueprint that sets an alternative vision for our country now,” suggesting the event will blend autobiography, reflection, and political messaging.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris’s upcoming San Diego appearance also marks a return to the state where her political career began. Before joining the national stage, Harris served as San Francisco’s District Attorney from 2004 to 2011 and as California’s Attorney General from 2011 to 2017. In 2016, she was elected to the U.S. Senate, succeeding Barbara Boxer, before joining Joe Biden’s presidential ticket in 2020.

Since leaving the White House, Harris has kept a relatively low public profile but remains one of the most recognizable political figures in the country. Her new book and speaking tour signal a reemergence that could test the waters for her next move - potentially a gubernatorial run in California, where Governor Gavin Newsom’s term ends in 2026, or even another attempt at the presidency should the Democratic landscape shift in coming years.

Her visit to San Diego places her before an audience that has long been both a source of political strength and skepticism for the state’s most polarizing Democrats. Whether the tour serves as a national listening campaign, a book promotion, or the quiet start of a comeback effort, Harris’s reentry into the public conversation ensures her influence on California and national politics is far from over.

Harris’s continued public engagements suggest she intends to stay politically relevant and connected to her California base. Similar events are planned in cities across the country, including Sacramento, Anaheim, Denver, Nashville, and Medford, Massachusetts.
