Presented by Jean-Charles Boisset Wineries, the 2025–2026 lineup features four of North America’s leading concertmasters: Jun Iwasaki of the Kansas City Symphony performing November 15-16, Nurit Bar-Josef of the National Symphony on January 10-11, Nathan Cole of the Boston Symphony on February 21-22, and Frank Huang of the New York Philharmonic on April 11-12.
Each event begins with an open hors d’oeuvres reception before guests are seated for an intimate concert where every musical work is paired with a curated wine selection. The wines are introduced and poured before each performance, chosen to complement the tone, rhythm, and emotion of the piece - offering a unique opportunity to, as Mainly Mozart describes it, “taste what you hear.”
“It’s not every day you get to enjoy a glass of wine inspired by the music you’re hearing in the moment,” said Nancy Laturno, Mainly Mozart co-founder and CEO. “The enthusiastic response to last year’s events encouraged us to expand the series this season, adding Saturday concerts and a fourth concertmaster. The wine selections are exceptional on their own, but paired with the music, they elevate both the flavor and the experience.”
Each weekend’s experience includes a wine reception followed by a seated concert and tasting. Saturday events begin at 5pm with the concert at 6pm, while Sunday performances start at 4pm with a 5pm concert. Seating options range from general admission to exclusive premium tables, with the most elevated tier including enhanced appetizers and a post-concert reception with vintners and artists.

Since its founding in 1988, Mainly Mozart has built a reputation for uniting the world’s most accomplished musicians and fostering a deep sense of community around classical music. Its annual All-Star Orchestra Festival brings together concertmasters and principal players from more than 30 top orchestras, and earlier this year the organization was welcomed by the prestigious International Mozarteum Foundation into its global network of “Mozart Communities.” The return of the Concertmaster Wine Pairing Series reflects that same spirit of innovation and intimacy, inviting San Diegans to experience music in a new and memorable way.
Tickets for the 2025–2026 season are now available at mainlymozart.org/wine-series, and seating is limited. Early purchase is strongly recommended, as last year’s events quickly sold out.
