Founder Nili "Ringer" Goldfarb had originally hoped to debut the attraction with a full grand opening celebration on day one, but instead opted to begin operating first and host the formal festivities once every detail is in place. The rink will hold a special Fourth of July weekend sneak peek from July 3 through July 5, welcoming skaters daily from 10am to 9pm. Following the preview, the team will complete remaining finishing touches before the attraction officially opens for regular daily operations on July 11. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration will take place on July 21, when guests will be able to skate free all day.
Located at 821 West Harbor Drive in Seaport Village's Lighthouse District, the new rink occupies a redeveloped concrete plaza just steps from San Diego Bay. The attraction sits directly beside Crack Taco Shop and Mike Hess Brewing, making it easy for visitors to spend an afternoon or evening skating before grabbing tacos, craft beer, or simply strolling the Embarcadero.
The Seaport Village location marks the second rink for the locally owned business after six successful years in Encanto, where Goldfarb transformed an outdoor lot into one of San Diego's most colorful community gathering places. The new waterfront venue brings that same vibrant energy downtown with approximately 50 skaters on the floor at a time, skate rentals, concessions, merchandise, a photo booth, murals, music, and panoramic views stretching from the Coronado Bridge and downtown skyline to the marina and The Rady Shell.
The new location will operate daily from 10am to 9pm, 365 days a year. Admission is $18 Monday through Thursday from 10am to 3pm, $22 Monday through Thursday from 3pm to 9pm, and $26 Fridays through Sundays from 10am to 9pm. Guests can bring their own skates or rent quad skates for $6, protective gear for $8, or a "Skate Mate" training aid for $10. A rental bundle including skates, protective gear, and a Skate Mate will be available for $20. The venue will also offer ICEEs, Dippin' Dots, bottled water, and other refreshments.
The approximately $1 million project represents another milestone in Seaport Village's ongoing transformation into a more experience-driven destination. While longtime visitors have traditionally come for waterfront shopping, restaurants, and harbor views, recent additions have increasingly focused on interactive attractions that encourage people to spend more time along San Diego Bay. Few seem better suited to Southern California than an outdoor roller rink where visitors can skate beneath the sun by day or beneath the city lights after sunset.
Ringer's Roller Rink is located at 821 West Harbor Drive in Seaport Village and begins preview operations this weekend. For more information, visit ringersrollerrink.com/ringers-at-seaport-village.
