There are a lot of music festivals these days. Mission Bayfest isn't one of the forgettable ones. Set on the grassy shoreline of Mariner's Point Park overlooking Mission Bay, Bayfest has quietly become one of Southern California's most enjoyable live music weekends - a festival where you can spend the day barefoot in the grass, grab a craft beer, eat from dozens of local food vendors, browse artisan booths, and watch some of reggae, ska and punk's biggest names perform against one of the most beautiful waterfront backdrops in San Diego.
This year's festival returns October 16-18 with another stacked lineup. Friday is headlined by Rebelution, joined by Steel Pulse, The Movement, Surfer Girl, The Gaslamp Killer, King Cruff, Joe Samba and more. Saturday brings Kolohe Kai, Common Kings, SOJA, Landon McNamara, For Peace Band and additional island and reggae favorites. Sunday closes things out with punk legends The Offspring, alongside The Interrupters, Goldfinger, The Expendables and a full day of Southern California favorites.
