MishMash Finds New Home In San Diego's Barrio Logan

August 24, 2017

After more than a year and a half in business, MishMash shuttered its original location within Mercado del Barrio earlier this month, assuring it's loyal fans that a return was imminent. Well the popular neighborhood bar and restaurant took to Facebook today to announce that a new location has been secured at 1805 Newton Avenue in Barrio Logan in the space that last housed Strozzi So-Cal Italian.

Founded by Chef Doug Cook and his wife Malane Drake, MishMash is an American-fusion bar and restaurant that originally operated as a pop-up eatery, serving local breweries and farmers markets throughout San Diego. In January 2016, MishMash opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Barrio Logan, and after 18 months closed its doors. MishMash's new location will be larger than the previous, remain devoted to local craft beer, and center its food menu around burgers, sandwiches and globally-inspired dishes. Expect a September unveiling.
