Whale Watching In Style on Yacht "America"

January 3, 2012
From December 17th through April 15th, enjoy an extraordinary experience whale-watching on Next Level Sailing's famous racing yacht "AMERICA."
Embark on a San Diego sailing adventure unlike any other on the luxurious and historic yacht as you enjoy the peak season for whale watching, when some 28,000 gray whales migrate over 10,000 miles from Alaska to Baja California where they birth their young.

The gray whales generally travel south in large pods relatively close to shore making for a lively and invigorating experience. Besides the elegant gray whales, there are frequent sightings of dolphins, seals, and even blue and humpback whales.

Next Level Sailing offers one of the premium whale-watching experiences of Southern California. America is the only sailing yacht that opens its decks to the public each day for a four-hour tour from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (weather permitting). Unlike other San Diego whale-watching tours that use diesel engines (which can cause some ocean-goers to become seasick), the America operates "green" and is a smooth riding sailing yacht, allowing Next Level Sailing to offer a "no seasickness" guarantee. In the event that sea sickness does somehow spoil your experience, Next Level Sailing will invite you to sail free of charge on another day, or the crew will issue you a $40 Gift Certificate for lunch at the renowned San Diego "Fish Market" restaurant. Additionally, on the rare occasion that you do not see any whales, you'll be invited back to sail free of charge on another day of your choice.

During the weekdays, the cost for adults for the four-hour whale watching tour is $65. Children 12 and under are $34. On the weekends, adults are $85 and children 12 and under are $44. The tour price includes the $14 admission ticket to the Maritime Museum of San Diego before or after the sail (day of sailing only). In addition, the sailing crew provides guests with a full cooler of sodas, waters & ice, as well as light snacks. Next Level Sailing invites their guests to bring along their own alcohol, sandwiches and any other food or drinks desired.

Next Level Sailing also offers blue whale sunset sails later in the year from May to September, as well as other charter options for their fleet. For more information, visit Next Level Sailing's website at www.nextlevelsailing.com.
