Anthology & 102.1 KPRI Present Summer’s Second Streetbeat Festival Featuring The Wallflowers, Tristan Prettyman and Walk The Moon | September 8th

September 2, 2012

Anthology and 102.1 KPRI have once again teamed up to present StreetBeat: KPRi’s Block Party 2 on Saturday, Sept. 8. This go-around of the popular street festival will feature sounds by indie-pop and rock sensations, The Wallflowers, Tristan Prettyman and Walk The Moon.

The Wallflowers are best known for such hits as “One Headlight” and “Sleepwalker” but have been quiet for the last 7 years as frontman, Jakob Dylan (Bob Dylan's son) has been pursuing a solo career. StreetBeat marks the bands return with their new album Glad All Over and a tour in support. Tristan Prettyman, a surf-soul musician/songwriter and local San Diegan, enchants revelers with her sweet vocals while her acoustic guitar tunes embody idyllic California vibes.  You may know her from her popular rendition of "All I Want Is You." Walk The Moon have gotten their lyrics stuck in every indie-pop-rock fans’ heads with their single, “Anna Sun.” Most recently the band stole the show at the famed Van’s Warped Tour with their electric and high energy live performance.

The summer music festival located in downtown’s Little Italy neighborhood features the best of local food, spirits, and beer. The event begins at 3 p.m. on India St. between A and Ash Streets, directly outside of Anthology with some of San Diego’s finest local acts taking the inside stage. Between acts, local favorites, Talk Like June, will be playing inside between sets on the main stage.  The party continues inside Anthology after 10pm with the official StreetBeat after party featuring Lady Dottie & the Diamonds.

General Admission tickets are available for $39 with Reserved Seating tickets available at $59.  VIP packages will run you $150 per person and  include valet parking, access to the exclusive Anthology VIP lounge on the second level where you can indulge in a buffet and drinks, and reserved seating in the first 8 rows in front of the stage.

Tickets can be purchased at Anthology or online.
