Delicias Restaurant Announces New Chef De Cuisine and Seasonal Menu

Delicias restaurant in Rancho Santa Fe, an iconic neighborhood eatery for nearly twenty years, has seen many transitions along with the growing community that has helped to shape its identity. After three years of familiarizing himself with the restaurant’s unique personality and customer demographic, owner Owen Perry is introducing Steve Molina as Chef de Cuisine and a new seasonal menu featuring longtime Delicias favorites executed with innovative and skilled culinary precision.

“Delicias has always been known as a place where people can enjoy an upscale dining experience for any special occasion or even a casual weekday dinner with the family,” says owner Owen Perry. “It is this balance that makes Delicias unique, and Chef Steve caters to this dynamic by providing an excellent dining experience to each and every guest.”

After working closely with Chef Paul McCabe as a Sous Chef for several years, Chef Steve Molina has seamlessly taken the reins in the kitchen as Chef de Cuisine of Delicias. A rapidly rising star in the culinary world, known for his drive, innovation and passion, Chef Molina brings fresh talent to his new position, already impressing diners with his remarkable cuisine and charismatic personality. Diners will be pleased to find the return of classic Delicias favorites on the new menu with Chef Molina’s innovative spin such as the Baked Fusilli “Mac N Cheese” with charred broccoli, goat cheese, leeks, pancetta and herbed bread crumbs; the Braised Short Rib with carrots, turnips, baby celery, and cheddar mashed potatoes; the Smoked Salmon Flatbread with dill crème fraiche, red onion, capers and caviar; and the Prime New York with roasted root vegetables, baby potatoes and a smoked tomato reduction. Mainstay entrees also appear on the new menu, including the popular Lobster Agnolotti, which has been updated to include seasonal ingredients such as poached main lobster, celery root, apple salad, and brown butter.

Delicias has been serving San Diego for over 19 years and has long been known as one of North County’s favorite dining spots. In addition to serving the highest quality steaks, chops and seafood, Delicias has expanded seasonal menus featuring the freshest ingredients available.
