There are two fantastic fundraisers happening this November benefitting the Movember Foundation brought to you by CUCINA urbana and El Dorado Cocktail Lounge. Annually, Movember’s month-long campaign encourages men to sprout their best mustaches, seek sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts, and raise awareness for men's health. El Dorado Cocktail Lounge is bringing music and mash potatoes out for its Mashes and 'Staches event, while CUCINA urbana is making dessert upper lips for its guests. Calling all Mo Bros and Mo Sistas! On Wednesday, November 21st El Dorado Cocktail Lounge teams up with downtown's favorite local apparel shop, 5&A Dime, to throw a charity driven “Mashes and ‘Staches” Movember party in support of the largest moustache-growing charity event of the year. From 8pm until 2am guests are encouraged to rock out with their 'stache out while enjoying live entertainment from the DJs of El D, 5&A Dime and more as they shop around for mustache-inspired artwork by a number of talented local artists. A suggested $5 donation at the door provides party goers with a special-edition Movember button pack and a raffle ticket, which automatically enters them into a drawing for tons of El D gift cards and gear from 5&A Dime. But wait! -- The night of "moustachery" doesn't end there. For an additional $10, help raise “mo” money for a great cause by entering into El D's Mashed-Potato Eating Contest, with the winner to receive an awesome undisclosed prize pack. Don’t get too much mash in your ‘stache! All suggested door donations and money raised from the mash potato eating contest, in addition to a portion of proceeds from the artwork sold, will be donated to the national Prostate Cancer Foundation through Movember.com. “Get your ‘stache on!” Join CUCINA urbana and the Movember campaign during the month of November by purchasing one of (4) signature chocolate mustaches from Executive Pastry Chef Jack Fisher. Indulge in an edible Barolo or try on a Sheriff for size. A different ‘stache style will be featured each week for $5 a pop. Guests are encouraged to show their tasty accouterments online! Snap photos of friends with the chocolate mustache pops and post on the CU Facebook page or tweet @CUCINAurbana with the hashtag #Movember to help raise awareness and continue support for men’s health.
