Locals will bring their appetites to Mira Mesa for the 1st Annual Toys for Tot Gourmet Food Truck Festival to sample over a dozen of Southern California’s finest mobile foods. The festival will be held Saturday, December 15th from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and showcase the gourmet food truck movement that has recently hit the scene.
The festival will be celebrating the new style of street food that is becoming more popular both locally and throughout the nation. Patrons will be able to try gourmet street food ranging from Thai, BBQ, comfort food, sustainable, italian cuisine and more. Two notable trucks that have been featured on the Food Network “Great Food Truck Race, Devilicious (Season 2) and Under the Crust (Season 3 contestant), will also be present. There will also be a BBQ competition between the two barbecue-centric trucks attending the event.
Festivities will kick off at 11:30 a.m., at the Epicentre Located at 8450 Mira Mesa Blvd, San Diego, Ca 92126 the gourmet food trucks will be ready to serve up delicious bites as locals taste their way through the lineup. There will be a kids area and other kid-friendly activities for children, making it perfect for the whole family. Military families are also free for up to 4 adults upon the showing of a valid military ID. Kids under 11 years of age free.
