April 7, 2013
Every April, Verona, Italia plays host to Vinitaly - Italy’s most prestigious annual wine tasting festival and exhibition, featuring more than 4000 exhibitors and hosting around 150,000 visitors per year - now in it’s 47th year. On Thursday, April 25th from 6:30 – 9:30PM, Toast Enoteca & Cucina in downtown San Diego will host its own version of Vinitaly for the third year in a row. Guests are invited to sample some of the best wines from the festival along with tray passed bites.
This will be the first time in the United States that more than 30 of Vinitaly’s top, award-winning wines will be available for oenophiles to taste in one location. These wines have scored the highest rating attainable “3 Wine Glasses” on Gambero Rosso’s yearly guide to Italian wine (equivalent to Wine Spectator’s 97-point wines).
Designed like a traditional Italian wine tasting festival, Toast Enoteca & Cucina will feature 30 wines from wineries throughout Italy and will serve complimentary appetizers, antipasti and tastes of their most requested, authentic Italian dishes.
On this night, the entire restaurant, including the outdoor patio, will be dedicated to Toast Enoteca & Cucina’s Vinitaly event. Tickets are $50 per person and include tasting and complimentary appetizers.
Toast Enoteca & Cucina is located at 927 J Street in Downtown San Diego. For more information, visit the website or call (619) 269 -4207.
