Slater's 50/50 is unveiling The "Sriracha Burger" in response to the buzz about a shortage of the favorite condiment. Beginning Monday, December 9, devoted Sriracha fanatics concerned over recent news that a potential shortage of the iconic condiment may come to fruition can calm down. Slater's 50/50, the SoCal burger brand famous for its original "50/50" patty made of 50% ground bacon and 50% ground beef, has got you covered with the creation of The Sriracha Burger - the ultimate tribute to the most amazing condiment known to mankind.

"I personally put Sriracha on everything," said Scott Slater, founder and CEO of Slater's 50/50. "When we got word there is a chance that a shortage of Sriracha may be a reality, the first thing we did was call our supplier to stock up. Then, we set Chef Brad loose in the kitchen to create a burger that would blow people's minds. People don't mess around when it comes to Sriracha and neither do we."

The Sriracha Burger features Slater's signature 50/50 blend mixed with Huy Fong Sriracha and Chili Garlic Sauce, resting on a bed of Sriracha Coleslaw. Topped with a Sriracha mushroom sauté, melting pepperjack cheese, Sriracha glazed thick cut bacon ribbons, Sriracha mayo and finished off with even more Sriracha on top of all that Sriracha and set atop our brioche bun.

The Sriracha Burger sells for $10.95 will be available at all six Slater's 50/50 locations throughout Southern California beginning on Monday, December 9.

Unlike Slater's Burger of the Month specials, there is no time limit on The Sriracha Burger. "As long as our guests are loving it and we are able to keep our supply of Sriracha to meet the demand, we will serve it," says Slater.

December's Wild Boar Meatball Sandwich
Speaking of Slater's Burger of the Month, December's offering is a Wild Boar Meatball Sandwich. The burger starts with 50% wild boar, 50% ground pork meatballs blended with Parmesan cheese and chopped garlic. The meatballs are sliced, grilled and stacked on a fresh Italian roll with thick cut bacon bits, topped with grilled onions and thick sliced bacon. The trio of meats is then smothered in Slater's house-made Three Cheese Alfredo sauce and finished with fresh ground pepper. This non-traditonal meaty masterpiece will be available all December long for $11.95.

Slater's 50/50 is located at 2750 Dewey Rd #193, right next to Ace Hardware in Liberty Station.  Parking is available on site.
