The San Diego Brewers Guild (SDBG) continues the tradition of bringing together the best of craft beer at the 3rd Annual Harrah’s Rhythm & Brews Music and Craft Beer Festival along “Hop Highway” in the heart of Vista, California. Taking place on Saturday, May 3 from 12-4pm, SDBG’S new spring event will feature 50 craft breweries, 9 musical acts on 3 stages, a homebrew contest and local restaurants, with a portion of revenues from the event being donated to the festival’s 501(C)(3) charity partner Relay for Life.
Rhythm & Brews is part craft beer, part music festival and will be larger than ever this year, featuring 50 craft breweries – both local and national – along with nine musical acts, twice as many as last year. Attendees will enjoy unlimited craft beer samples, continuous live music from three stages and food from local restaurants including Slater's 50/50, Urge Gastropub, Swieners and more.
Previously held in October, Rhythm & Brews is now presented by SDBG as its official spring event. Hosting both Rhythm & Brews in the spring and San Diego Beer Week in the fall gives craft beer aficionados access to their favorite breweries with two major events throughout the year. SDBG’s widely attended 10-day celebration of SD craft beer, San Diego Beer Week, will cap off the year the first week of November.
Attendees will get to enjoy sounds of blues and jazz from award-winning musicians like James Harman’s Bamboo Porch Revue featuring Nathan James, The Bayou Brothers, Lester Abrams Trio and more. Participating breweries include Acoustic Ales Brewing Experiment, Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits, Culture Brewing Co., Great Divide Brewing Co., Green Flash Brewing Co., Iron Fist Brewing Co., Karl Strauss Brewing Co., Lightning Brewery, Maui Brewing Co., Mother Earth Brew Co., Stone Brewing Co, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and many more.
Tickets for the Rhythm & Brews Fest are $40 now until April 19, then $50 thereafter and $60 at the door on the day of the event. VIP passes are $60 and include an hour early admission (11am). Designated Driver tickets are offered for non-drinkers at the cost of $20 per ticket. Rhythm & Brews is a 21+ event.
