Twisted Manzanita Ales Tasting Room Coming Soon to Pacific Beach

August 28, 2014

Twisted Manzanita Ales has tapped the former Surf Indian space in Pacific Beach as the spot for their 2nd tasting room. Located at 4652 Mission Boulevard, the location intends to open mid-September (shooting for 9/12) and will offer flights, pints and take-out brews, including kegs and growler fills. The original brewery and tasting room will continue in Santee.

Twisted Manzanita opened their brewery in east county in 2010 has since rebranded the company and added distillery operations. The new space in PB will include twenty-plus beer taps, including a nitro tap and revolving casks of experimental beers that will only be available at the tasting room. The company plans to keep the location open 11am-10pm seven days a week.

Why Pacific Beach? A representative of Manzanita explained that the lack of craft beer tasting rooms in PB and the mix of tourists and locals consistently present in this beachside neighborhood was a big draw. Plus, having a location between the popular Duck Dive and Dirty Birds was a benefit, as the tasting room will refer patrons to nearby eateries for food.
