Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza & Grill, located at 121 South Las Posas Road in San Marcos, will present Sammy’s Social Club beer pairing dinner hosted by Alex Peterson, a local brewer from The Lost Abbey and Port Brewing Company, beginning at 7pm on Thursday, Oct. 2. Sammy’s Social Club will offer a four-course beer pairing dinner priced at $40 per person.
The meal will begin with Lebni Mediterranean soft cheese, made with exotic spices, tomatoes, and extra-virgin olive oil with grilled herb flatbread, paired with a cold glass of the quad-style Judgment Day beer. The second course will feature a woodfired favorite, the Thai chicken pizza, paired with a Mongo IPA highlighted by citrus flavors with a piney bitterness. The third course will offer a selection of mini Kobe hamburgers paired with Lost and Found Abbey Ale, a malt beer with a hint of light cocoa aromatics. The meal will conclude with Sammy’s sweet salted caramel pudding served with a hoppy glass of Board Meeting, a double-brown ale.
