Suzie’s Farm will host its Fourth Annual Autumnal Equinox Dinner on Saturday, September 20, from 5-10pm. The highly anticipated yearly event is intended to show humble gratitude for the generosity of the community, give thanks for the abundant bounty of the farm’s summer harvest, and to commemorate the turning of the season. Guests of the intimate gathering will savor a four-course meal inspired by nature’s vivid hues and prepared by acclaimed Chef Ryan Johnston of San Diego’s Whisknladle Hospitality restaurant group.
The festive family-style dinner will highlight a variety of Suzie’s Farm’s plentiful seasonal organic produce and the best offerings from local San Diego producers, including ethically raised, free-range proteins and artisanal cheeses from Valley Center’s TAJ Farms and sustainable seafood provided by the San Diego Fishermen’s Working Group. Johnston and his skilled culinary team will craft an innovative and approachable menu inspired by this year’s theme - ColorPlay – an exaltation of the pigments found in nature. The dinner menu will feature the culinary group’s signature gourmet twist on classic comfort food.

“The Autumnal Equinox Dinner dinner holds a special place in our hearts and allows us to challenge ourselves in a way of bonding more deeply with our fields, our work and, more importantly, our community,” says Suzie’s Farm co-owner, Lucila De Alejandro. “The sense of unity is what we love most about it – the Autumnal Equinox Dinner is our Thanksgiving.”
The two-acre ‘The Grove’ outdoor event space will be saturated in color with vibrant florals, ambient lighting and vegetable-dyed flags and linens to reflect this year’s theme of ColorPlay. Towering Eucalyptus trees framing the outdoor event space will serve as the idyllic setting to reconnect with friends and with nature.
Tickets for Suzie’s Farm’s 4th annual Autumnal Equinox Dinner are available for $175 per guest at suziesfarm.com/community/autumnal-equinox-dinner. This is a 21 and over event.
