The 13th Annual Beer & Sake Festival Takes Over Harrah's Resort On Friday, June 5 | Save On Tickets And Enter To Win 2 VIP Passes

The Japan Society of San Diego is taking over Harrah's Resort Southern California on Friday, June 5, from 7-10pm, for the 13th annual Beer & Sake Festival, featuring local restaurants serving sumptuous treats along with local and visiting breweries pouring delicious beer, shochu and sake. Enjoy special cultural entertainment including the dynamic San Diego Taiko drum troupe, a whole tuna cutting for sashimi, a ramen-making demonstration and sampling, as well as art booths, a silent auction and a raffle drawing. Featuring over 100 varieties of sake, local craft beers and delicious appetizers from Celebrity Chef Tatsu-Ya, this unique charity tasting event will amaze each attendee's taste buds while they support a good cause. Alongside captivating entertainment and artisan booths, guests will be able to participate in a silent auction and raffle in support of the Japan Society’s educational programs. The proceeds will support the Japan Society’s numerous education programs and activities, which build bridges between the people of Japan and the San Diego and Tijuana communities.

Participating breweries at the Beer & Sake Festival include Mother Earth Brewing, Pizza Port, Fat Cat, Valley Center Brewery, Lightning Brewery, Coedo Beer, Asahi Beer, Sapporo and more. There will also be sake and shochu from a variety of distillers and food samples from Harrah's, Omni La Costa, Sushi-On-A-Roll, Saiko Sake & Sushi Bar and others.

For entertainment, there will be a live Japanese Taiko drum performance, a 130 lb whole tuna sushi cutting performance followed by servings of Sashimi for guests, as well as a ramen cooking demonstration by Chef Tatsu.
