Win 2 Backstage Passes To The 6th Annual San Diego OysterFest On Saturday, June 13 | Thievery Corporation To Headline Waterside Concert

May 4, 2015

The 6th Annual San Diego OysterFest returns to the picturesque Marina Embarcadero North by Seaport Village on Saturday, June 13, from noon to 7:30pm for a day filled with the three essentials for a great time - booze, music, and food. This year, the festival offers live bands including headliner Thievery Corporation, as well as craft beer, wine and cockails, as well as plenty of fresh oysters and food offerings from a variety of San Diego eateries. This event spotlights some up and coming bands and entertainers in a festival atmosphere on the beautiful San Diego Bay. We have two backstage passes to the festivities that we're giving to one lucky reader, which usually includes snacks, private bathrooms and an open bar. Read on and be sure to enter!

This year's musical performers slated for San Diego Oysterfest include headliner Thievery Corporation, plus Little Hurricane, The Young Wild, Birdy Bardot, Through The Roots, Rebecca Jade and the Cold Fact, as well as DJ appearances by Mikey Beats, Artistic, Who and Paulo da Rosa, Fishfonics and Eddie Cutless.

Presented by SDO Productions, this year’s Oysterfest is sure to be an epic party, as always. Oysters from British Columbia, along with mollusks from the west coast down to Mexico will be available, as well as offerings from some of San Diego's favorite restaurants. Pacifico and Victoria Beer will be served throughout the event, but there will also be craft beer areas with selections from local craft breweries including Ballast Point, Coronado Brewing, Green Flash and more. If you prefer a cocktail or a wine with your oysters, those will also be served at the event. There will also be a 'Shuck and Suck' contest, fun activities from Vavi, rescue dogs from local charity, Labs and More, merchandise for sale from local vendors and more.

"What could be better than fresh succulent oysters, a cold beer and great live music in the most beautiful San Diego waterside setting?!" asked OysterFest producer Myles O'Reilly. "I can't think of anything."

General admission tickets are $32 and reserved seat tickets are $75. Food and beverages are not included in the GA ticket. There are also a limited amount of backstage tables available. All ticket options can be purchased online, so get ‘em while they last. For the first year, the event is all ages and kids under 12 years old get free admittance.

Doors open at 11am and the festival goes from noon until 7:30pm. For more information, visit oysterfestsd.com.
