So Much More Than Music & Comedy | Inaugural KAABOO Del Mar To Feature Culinary Stage, Art Expo, Local Purveyors For Ultimate Cultural Festival

 Sure, Zac Brown, Gwen Stefani, Brandon Flowers and Joel McHale will be performing at KAABOO Del Mar, but did you know that local food celebrities Brian Malarkey and Javier Plascencia will each be putting on shows of their own? The culinary aspect of KAABOO is the icing on the cake of what will be the ultimate cultural festival that includes so much more than live music and comedy, all taking place over 3 days/nights from September 18-20. KAABOO Del Mar will offer a variety of themed attractions that culminate in the overall experience: Palate (culinary), Indulgences (products and vendors), Bask (poolside experience), Encore (after hours raves), Crafty (finest San Diego craft beers) and more.

The Palate culinary aspect of KAABOO is particularly tantalizing, as it will include an upscale eatery built right into the event, featuring renowned chefs and culinary delights from some of the area's top restaurants. Local chefs include Brian Malarkey, James Montejano, Javier Plascencia, Joe Magnanelli, Jeffrey Strauss, Jordan Davis, Lisa Stalvey and more. There will also be 18 top local restaurants, 30 craft spirits, 30 wineries, a local celebrity chef competition, a cocktail contest, book signings and chef band performances.

In addition to a lineup of live performances that includes Zac Brown Band, No Doubt, The Killers, Ben Harper, Counting Crows, Snoop Dogg, Lewis Black, Tim Meadows and so many more over 3 days, the festival will also showcase a variety of contemporary public art installations, some in place when you arrive and others created live onsite during the event. KAABOO's public art is expected to transform the venue into an evolving journey of surprise, delight and discovery.

KAABOO will also offer a poolside experience called BASK, presented in partnership with Ciroq Vodka. This will be a paid upgrade that allows attendees to reserve a spot in Bask with a chaise lounge or cabana. There will be a pool, cocktail service and more, as well as bathrooms and showers in the area so that you can refresh after swimming!
