Gaslamp's Quad AleHouse Now Serving Beer-Centric Weekend Brunch

September 15, 2015

Fortunately, the air conditioning is cranking at Quad AleHouse, where the weekends are getting even better. The craft beer-centric restaurant in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter has just debuted a brand new brunch served every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 2pm, just in time for football season. You don’t have to be a sports fan to intake and imbibe though. The restaurant/craft beer bar is billed as a "Beer Study Hall” but on weekends the only thing you’ll be studying is the menu.

Guests can start the weekend off right with Chef Brandon Brooks’ menu choices ranging from Fried Chicken and Waffles ($15) to Kentucky Buckeye Pancakes ($13) with Black Cherry Syrup and Bourbon Vanilla Cream. When it comes to boozy bevies to wash it all down, guests will be hard pressed to make a decision. If guests and their crew are looking to go big, they can’t go wrong with the Endless Mimosa Juice bar with housemade juice offerings including Lemon Lavender, Coconut Pineapple and Kiwi Strawberry. If bubbles aren’t their thing, one of the restaurant’s signature cocktails should do the trick. Standouts include the Quad Breakfast (Jameson and Butterscotch Liqueur, served with a shot of OJ and a trip of bacon) and the Quad Coffee (Jameson, Aztec Coffee Bitters, Molasses Bitters, Whipped Cream and Cinnamon).

This Saturday, September 19, if guests aren’t full off of brunch, they can stick around for Oktoberfest. The celebration will kick off at 3pm, with live German music starting at 5:30. Guests can enjoy a wide selection of German beer, housemade German sausages and plenty of games.

Quad AleHouse is located above Gaslamp Tavern at 868 Fifth Avenue in San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter. For more information, visit quadalehouse.com and check out the menus below.
