Over 50,000 Expected For the 18th Annual Pacific BeachFest On Saturday, October 3 | 5K Run, Volleyball Tournament, Surf Competition, Live Music, Best Of The Beach Taco Competition And More

September 26, 2015

On Saturday, October 3, from 11am to 7pm, there will be plenty of action on the beaches and along the boardwalk at this year’s Pacific BeachFest, as the shores come alive with volleyball tournaments, a surf competition, a fun 5k run/walk, live music on 3 stages, a craft beer garden, arts and craft displays, local vendors, a food court and a fish taco challenge. Do not miss this free, family-friendly celebration along the ocean in Pacific Beach.

The action starts early on the sandy shoreline with some friendly competition, including a two person invitational volleyball tournament, VaVi's social six person volleyball tournament and the Revolt Summer Series Surf Pro Am. There is also the Pacific Beachfest 5k fun run, the only fun run along the sand and boardwalk!

Throughout the action-packed day, thousands of BeachFest goers can enjoy live music on 3 stages - the Main Stage, featuring world beat dance music; the Community Stage, featuring the best talent in PB; and the Grand Stage, where the hottest DJ’s and Reggae will be featured in the San Diego Craft Beer Garden. Shop and browse among the dozens of fine arts and crafts displays and visit the many eclectic shops and popular restaurants in this laid-back beachside community at the PB Merchant Sidewalk Sale. No Beachfester will go hungry with the 7th Annual “Best at the Beach” Fish Taco Challenge where anyone can vote for their favorite fish taco, costing only $10 for a taste of each of the 6 participants. The Taste of PB Food Court will also be there to offer a variety of PB’s finest restaurants serving up tasty cuisines, and those 21 and over can enjoy the ocean view and wash it down at the craft beer garden, getting a chance to taste beers from locally crafted local breweries like Mike Hess Brewing, Belching Beaver, Iron Fire Brewing, Green Flash, Coronado and Karl Strauss.

Pacific BeachFest is a party for all ages, featuring Kids Action Alley where the youngest dudes and dudettes will be kept busy with beachside rides as well as other free fun games and activities. Local community groups from Pacific Beach will welcome participants to the neighborhood with goodies and fun activities throughout the day.

Pacific Beachfest will be held on Ocean Front Walk between Thomas & Felspar. For more information and a full schedule of events, visit pacificbeachfest.org and check out the video below for scenes from years past.
