San Diego Zoo Food, Wine & Brew Celebration Offers Culinary Delights While Benefiting Wildlife Conservation On September 26 | Party After Hours At One Of San Diego's Most Unique Food Festivals

September 3, 2015

It’s a wild party not to be missed! On Saturday, September 26, the 35th annual San Diego Zoo Food, Wine & Brew Celebration  takes over our famous zoo for an adults-only festival that allows guests to sample culinary delights and sip beverages from more than 150 San Diego area restaurants, wineries and breweries, and meet exotic animals like a cheetah or a koala up close - all while supporting wildlife conservation.

The annual celebration is one of San Diego’s most popular fundraisers, and it is sure to be even more spectacular this year. Partygoers can enjoy entertainment - from dance music to country rock to Zydeco - on multiple stages; participate in the live drawings; take a chance on winning great prizes while playing blackjack or roulette at the Critter Casino; and bid on fabulous prizes in the silent auction, including behind-the-scenes Zoo tours, luxurious getaways, entertainment packages and more. And a party at the zoo wouldn’t be complete without animal encounters, including an animal presentation by San Diego Zoo Global Ambassador Joan Embery.

General admission tickets for the celebration are $95 through Sept. 9 (the price increases to $100 on Sept. 10). The fun begins at 7:30pm and goes until midnight. There are a limited number of early admission tickets, allowing guests to enter at 6:30pm - and these tickets also include a complimentary pass to ride the Skyfari. Early admission tickets are $175 through Sept. 9 (the price increases to $195 on Sept. 10). For those guests looking for extra-special pampering, VIP admission is “the ticket.” VIP guests enter at 6pm and enjoy exclusive access to a VIP lounge throughout the night - including hosted drinks, special animal encounters and plush lounge furniture. VIP admission is $325 through Sept. 9 (the price increases to $350 on Sept. 10).

Proceeds from the San Diego Zoo Food, Wine & Brew Celebration will help support endangered animals and their habitats worldwide through the San Diego Zoo Global Wildlife Conservancy. San Diego Zoo Global currently works on conservation projects locally and is involved in more than 140 conservation projects in 80 countries. These projects include breeding and releasing California condors, restoring palms in the Amazon, combating rhino and elephant poaching, and studying wild giant pandas in the bamboo forests of China.

Tickets for the San Diego Zoo Food, Wine & Brew Celebration may be purchased by calling (619) 718-3000 or by booking online at zoofoodandwine.com. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to attend!
