Duke’s La Jolla Unveils New Lunch And Happy Hour Menus

December 29, 2015

Duke’s La Jolla has introduced the start of its lunch and Pau Hana happy hour menus, which are meant to celebrate the melting pot of cultures and cooking techniques of Hawaii and California. Both menus are available daily and offer some of Duke's top items with a view to match.

Available daily between 11:30am and 3pm, Duke's new lunch menu offers an array of locally-sourced food choices with a thoughtful respect for traditions and a serious focus on all-natural ingredients and seasonal products. Share-worthy plates include the Korean Sticky Ribs and Poke Tacos with shoyu, Maui onions, avocado and wasabi crème fraiche. For those looking for something light and refreshing, look no further than Duke’s delicious salads such as the Grilled Gem Lettuce Caesar featuring shaved parmesan, grilled baguette and lemon-anchovy dressing or the Wedge made with baby iceberg, smoked blue cheese, balsamic tomatoes, chicharrones and Duroc bacon. Signature dishes include the Roasted Firecracker Fish and Kalbi Short Rib Tacos served with a side of Spam fried rice.

Duke’s version of a Happy Hour menu also launches just in time for the end of the holiday season. Available at both bars, locals and visitors are welcomed daily from 3-5pm to enjoy “Pau Hana,” the post-work time in Hawaii when friends and family gather together to relax and talk story. Drop into the Duke’s La Jolla and enjoy Pau Hana specials including Fried Bourbon Pickles with red curry ranch, Lomi Salmon Tacos with wasabi crème fraiche and Daily Crudo. Drink specials are also available including draft beers for $5 and barrel to glass wine and the Duke’s Mai Tai for $7.

“We are so excited for our guests to try Chef Sinsay’s lunch and Pau Hana menus,” said Shaughn Helliar, general manager of Duke’s La Jolla. “The dishes perfectly complement our signature cocktail, wines and beers. With the great food, drinks and unbeatable views of the Pacific Ocean, Duke’s La Jolla is the perfect place to watch the sun go down.”
