Convoy's Common Theory Public House To Host 9-Course Price Fixed Dinner With All Star Line Up Of Local Chefs | Monday, January 25

January 15, 2016

The Convoy District's Common Theory Public House is hosting its first ever pop-up, multi-course dinner on Monday, January 25. This nine course prix-fixe, beer-pairing dinner will showcase dishes from nine different chefs from acclaimed San Diego restaurants, including Ironside Fish & Oyster, George's at the Cove, Juniper + Ivy and more, who will each prepare a course highlighting their unique talents. For each of the dinner’s courses, an Alesmith Brewing Co. beer will be selectively paired to complement its dish. We know that we already included this supper in our round-up of culinary events for this month, but with the level of chefs involved, this one deserves some special attention!

At Theory No. 1 Beer Dinner, each course will explore the individual chef’s style of cooking with how they pair their dish with their designated Alesmith brew. Chefs will be interacting with guests and giving them some background into why their dishes pair with specific beers. Participating chefs include Christine Rivera (Galaxy Taco), Robert Villicano (Common Theory Public House), Phil Esteban (The Cork and Craft), Anthony Wells (Juniper and Ivy), Jose Joaquin “Jojo” Ruiz (Ironside Fish & Oyster), Mike Arquines (The Lab Dining Sessions), Jason Knibb (Nine-Ten Restaurant & Bar), Jonathan Bautista (George’s At The Cove), and Brad Chance (Juniper and Ivy).

Each beer has been carefully selected to match each course and bring out the robust ingredients chef’s will be cooking with. Some of the Alesmith beers that will be served include SD .394 Pale Ale, District 6 Saison, Lil Devil Belgian Pale Ale, and X Extra Pale Ale. Dessert will be paired with San Diego’s very own micro-roasting company, Mostra Coffee.

Tickets are $100.00 (excluding tax and gratuity) and can be purchased online. Common Theory is located at 4805 Convoy Street. Check out the full menu below and get your tickets before they sell out!
