Amplified Ale Works Miramar Location Debuts

April 26, 2016

Amplified Ale Works will open the doors to its new Miramar brewery and tasting room today, expanding their operations from the small, beachside brewpub and restaurant in Pacific Beach.

Amplified Ale Works has built a solid fan base while brewing out of their Pacific Beach location. People have come to love head brewer Cy Henley’s creations, but because there was only so much to go around due to the limited brewing space, the beers would quickly be gone. Amplified Ale Works has now grown their small brew pub to a new brewing facility and tasting room in Miramar.

Located at 9030 Kenamar Drive, right behind Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits, Amplified Ale Works new tasting room will "soft" open on April 26, with it's grand opening to take place on Friday, May 13.  Amplified hopes that this step will result in the production of an additional 1,000 barrels of beer in the first full year brewing in Miramar.

“We wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without the lasting support of our customers and community, and that is exactly why we are so excited to share this new journey with them,” said Amplified co-owner Alex Pierson.

Electrocution, Pig Nose, Leggy Blonde Belgian singel and Bearded Guard biere de garde are just a few of the names you will be seeing at the new tasting room. Distribution of these beers will be divided between the Pacific Beach location and the Miramar brewery’s onsite tasting room. Moving primary production over to Miramar gives Cy Henley more time to put in his work, where he is currently preparing to brew one off beers with experimental hops as part of a project with the working title “Distorted Hop Series.”
