New Chef Joins Stella Public House & Halcyon In San Diego's East Village

April 16, 2016

Stella Public House and Halcyon in San Diego's East Village have appointed Chef Jade Griego as the dual concept's new Executive Chef, taking over the position previously held by Giovanni Novella. Griego will oversee the menu design and execution for both concepts, giving him the creative bandwidth to explore cooking techniques unique to each brand - with Stella Public House’s woodfired oven continuing to turn out Neapolitan-styled pizzas, as well as evolving the unique skillet brunch items and Halcyon’s expansive gourmet café offerings.

Griego has been an executive chef for over 10 years and has honed his talents across the United States. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Griego attended Columbus State Community College with a degree in Associate of Arts. Griego recently worked in the kitchens at local restaurants Barbarella’s and PrepKitchen.

With Fault Line Park’s first summer open in San Diego, Halcyon and Stella Public House are eager to welcome diners to enjoy their beautiful patio looking onto the park’s 1.3 acres of green grass and architecturally-inspired landscaping.

Stella Public House and Halcyon are located at 1429 Island Avenue in the East Village. For more information, visit stellapublichouse.com and halcyoncoffeebar.com.
