StreetCar Merchants Of Fried Chicken, Doughnuts & Coffee Launches La Jolla Location

December 26, 2016

Gourmet fried chicken creations and handcrafted donuts are now available on Prospect Street in La Jolla. StreetCar Merchants of Fried Chicken, Doughnuts & Coffee, who debuted in North Park in 2014, have launched their second San Diego location.

Founded by Ron Suel and RaVae Smith, Streetcar offers a Southern-inspired menu by Chef Dante Ross. The new, 4,000+ square foot La Jolla space has expanded the brand's food offering. In addition to the list of cooked-to-order country and Nashville style Mary's free range fried chicken, sandwiches, house made doughnuts, local craft beer and Stumptown coffee, the La Jolla branch has a lengthy list of milkshakes, appetizers, salads, soups, and entrees. Utilizing the spaces Woodstone oven that was left by the previous tenant, Amici's East Coast Pizzeria, the menu also includes sweet & savory pies and roasted meats. Streetcar has plans to expand to new locations in the coming years, including smaller, counter-service, fast-casual outposts.
