The Crack Shack Continues Expansion Up The Coast | Encinitas Location Underway & Third Location Planned For Orange County

January 2, 2017

Michael Rosen & Chef Richard Blais are continuing the northward expansion of their popular fried chicken concept - The Crack Shack. The Encinitas branch is currently gearing up for a February opening at the former Coco's space at 407 Encinitas Boulevard and a third location is planned for Costa Mesa in Orange County for a mid-to-late 2017 debut.

The Encinitas outpost of The Crack Shack is anticipated to open by early February. The eatery will offer 6,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor dining space, which will operate similarly to the original Little Italy location. There will be counter and bar service, a giant chicken statue, and a bocce ball court. There will also be a private dining room with a fireplace, a kid friendly sandbox, chicken-themed art and fixtures, a retractable roof, and an expanded menu of food from Chef Andrew Schrader and cocktails by bar manager Eric Johnson.

The first Orange County outpost of The Crack Shack will open at a 5,600+ square foot space that previously housed a Chase Bank at 196 E 17th Street in Costa Mesa, right down the street from the extremely popular Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee. Expect a top-to-bottom overhaul of the building to replicate the open air, casual Crack Shack vibe of the other locations.

Rosen & Blais intend to continue expanding The Crack Shack brand to other locations throughout California in years to come. For more information, visit crack-shack.com
