We recently broke the news that Breakfast Republic would be moving into the OB Warehouse spot in Ocean Beach in mid-2017. The breakfast-centric hot spot has also just hatched another location in the East Village, kicking off the brand’s continued San Diego expansion. Known for their extensive Snooze-like menu of excessive and innovative breakfast foods, branded decor and humor-cracking signage, Breakfast Republic in East Village hopes to grow to a downtown breakfast destination.
With locations currently in North Park, Liberty Station, Encinitas, and one on the way for Carmel Valley in May & Ocean Beach in April, Breakfast Republic has opened its doors to the 2,696-square-foot East Village space that formerly housed Zanzibar Café, which shuttered in summer 2016. The new spot also sports a 300-square-foot patio, just in time for those sunny San Diego months.
Breakfast Republic’s full menu will be offered from 7am to 3pm, same hours of operation and menu for all other locations. With a full liquor license in store, guests can enjoy drinks such as the Jurassic Pork Bloody Mary, or the Whiskey Sunny Side Up made with Koval American Oat Whiskey, lemon, cane sugar, red wine, and egg whites.
Breakfast Republic East Village is located at 707 G Street in downtown San Diego. For more information, visit breakfastrepublic.com.
