The owners of Kearny Mesa's popular Koon Thai have taken over the former-Flight Path location at 1202 Kettner Boulevard and converted it into Aaharn, a modern Thai restaurant and bar now open on the southern outskirts of San Diego's Little Italy neighborhood.
Owned by Sermpon Phainual, Aaharn by Koon Thai quietly debuted last month in the historic McClintock Warehouse building near the Stone Company Store and the Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown San Diego's Little Italy district. Named after the word for "food" in the Thai Language, Aaharn advertises itself as a modern Thai restaurant, offering a menu of authentic Thai dishes, as well as beer and wine in the near future.
Aaharn is currently in its soft opening stage, operating Monday through Friday from 11am to 3pm and 4:30-9pm and Saturday and Sunday from 4-9pm. For more information, visit aaharn.us.
