The annual celebration brings together local chefs, brewers and beer enthusiasts for an evening of creative pairings, entertainment and sweeping views of San Diego Bay and the downtown skyline. Taking place from 5:30–9pm, the event will spread across the restaurant's first-floor indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing guests to sample everything from fresh seafood and an unlimited oyster bar to gourmet burgers, poke, pizza, cookies and other bites while exploring beers selected to complement each dish.
Now entering its 11th year, Brews, Views & Chews was originally created to celebrate San Diego's thriving craft beer culture and the culinary creativity that has grown alongside it. What began as a gathering of local chefs and breweries has developed into an annual showcase of the collaborations, friendships and flavors that help define the region's food and beverage scene.
This year's lineup features 10 restaurant-and-brewery partnerships, with several returning favorites and new participants joining the festivities. Tom Ham's Lighthouse will team up with Chula Vista Brewing, while its sister restaurant Bali Hai will collaborate with East Village Brewing. San Diego burger institution Hodad's will pair its food with beers from Hodad's Brewing, and Eastbound Bar & Grill will reunite with Alpine's McIlhenney Brewing Company.
Other collaborations include Deb's Cookie Jar with Mike Hess Brewing, Sushi Me Rollin with Societe Brewing Company, and Pretzels & Pints with Burgeon Beer Co. White Rice and Chef Phil Esteban will join forces with Coronado Brewing Company, Falafel Heights will pair its offerings with Kairoa Brewing Company, and Love Letters Pizza will collaborate with Fall Brewing Company.
The variety promises something for nearly every palate, from savory dishes and seafood to sweets and comfort food. Rather than simply serving beer alongside a buffet, the event centers on partnerships between individual kitchens and breweries, giving attendees an opportunity to discover how different beer styles complement the flavors and ingredients of each participating restaurant.
Guests will receive a five-ounce tasting glass and enjoy unlimited food and craft beer pairings throughout the evening. DJ HVK will provide entertainment, while the waterfront setting offers views of the harbor and illuminated downtown skyline as the sun sets over San Diego.
IZO Spirits will also participate as this year's liquor sponsor, adding a local spirits presence to the predominantly craft beer-focused celebration.
