Mess Hall Overhaul At Liberty Public Market | Wood Fired Pizza & All-Day Breakfast Sandwiches Coming To San Diego's Liberty Station

We recently announced that local franchise king James Markham - known for MOD Pizza, Project Pie, and Pieology fast-casual restaurant chains - was in the process of opening Doughballs Wood Fired Pizza in Pacific Beach. Markam will also takeover the former Mess Hall location in Liberty Public Market for another Doughballs outpost, as well as an egg sandwich centric eatery called Crackheads.

Both Doughballs & Crackheads will take over and split space currently occupied by Pi Bar and Grape Smuggler Bar in the Mess Hall area within Liberty Public Market. Expect Doughballs to offer a menu of 10 signature woodfired pizzas that take about 90 seconds to cook, salads, and sous vide desserts. Crackheads will have a menu of all-day egg sandwiches, including the namesake Crackhead sandwich (Applewood smoked bacon, cheddar, over-medium egg and secret crack sauce on a brioche Bread and Cie bun), as well as customizable pop tarts, pop tart ice cream sandwiches and a build-your-own cereal bar with toppings.

Crackheads and Doughballs are expected to unveil in the Liberty Public Market by this July.
