With 11 locations already in the Southern California region, Afters Ice Cream will bring its famous "Milky Bun" - a warm donut-like pastry filled with ice cream and toppings then hot-pressed to seal - to America's Finest City when it opens its first area outpost in San Diego's Pacific Beach neighborhood this summer, taking over the former Yogurtland location at 855 Garnet Avenue.
Owned by lifelong friends Andy Nguyen and Scott Nghiem, After Ice Cream has been making a name for itself in Southern California due to its Instagram-worthy desserts since opening the first location in Orange County's Fountain Valley in early 2014. Sure, Afters Ice Cream is known for its Milky Bun ice cream sandwiches, but it is also famous for its exotic car meets, which the founding duo may bring to Pacific Beach. Expect a menu of ice cream flavors with exotic topics that are served in a cup, cone, shake, or Milky Bun.
