SoundBite Dinner & Music Pairing Event To Take Place At Lot 8 In Mission Valley On June 29

June 19, 2017

On Thursday, June 29, Eco Caters Chef/Owner Nick Brune will bring his traveling SoundBite dinner series to the newly unveiled Lot 8 outdoor event space in Mission Valley. This interactive dining experience will feature six courses from Chef Brune and guest chefs Davin Waite of Wrench & Rodent Seabasstropub and Chef Andrew Bent of incoming Lola 55 to be paired with songs performed live by San Diego band Todo Mundo.

For the first SoundBite event of 2017, Chef Nick is collaborating with the talented Davin Waite of Oceanside's extremely popular Wrench & Rodent Seabasstropub, as well as Andrew Bent - whose most recent stint was cooking at the Noma pop-up in Tulum, Mexico. The three chefs will prepare a six-course dinner paired with six original Todo Mundo songs performed for guests while they enjoy their meal.

As with all of his SoundBite dinners, in the days prior to the event, the participating chefs create their courses while listening to select tracks so that each plate is inspired by a specific song and its meaning. Menu highlights include a fried oyster with frisee, jalapeño remoulade, chorizo vinaigrette and pickled serrano peppers, and a smoked rainbow trout with sour grass, nasturtium, wild fennel, roe, and toasted cumin coriander flax cracker. There will also be two beverage pairings. The event will begin at 6:30pm.

Tickets to the June 29 SoundBite dinner are available online for $60 (inclusive of beverage pairings).
