Former "Top Chef" Contestant To Open Fish Market & Eatery Inside 57 Degrees Bar & Event Warehouse In Mission Hills

August 14, 2017

Opening up along the south wall within 57 Degrees Bar & Event Warehouse in San Diego's Mission Hills area is Fishmonger's Market & Seafood Bar - a fish market and eatery from Chef Frankie "The Bull" Terzoli, a former Top Chef contestant and winner of Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen.

San Diego-born chef Frankie “The Bull” Terzoli started cooking at his uncle’s restaurant (the Venetian in Point Loma) as a teenager and has since cooked his way around the world at over 50 restaurants in more than 15 countries. He has opened several restaurants in San Diego over the years and competed on Bravo's Top Chef Season 2 and won an episode of Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen in 2013. Terzoli has been an avid fisherman and sea captain since his 20s, and during the past 4 years has worked to create software to assist in sustainably sourcing seafood, in addition to his culinary consulting business.
Fishmonger's Market & Seafood Bar will take up 5,000 of the 16,500 square-foot 57 Degrees space, offering 130 seats, an outdoor patio, and a crudo bar. The sea-focused menu will include items like oysters, poke, seafood towers, clambakes, seafood boils, smoked fish, cioppino, seafood sandwiches, and larger entrees. There will also be an onsite market with a 24-foot fish case to purchase fresh seafood and other ingredients. The space will also be the site for specialty meals, chef demos, and instructional classes. Some, if not all, of the items will also be available at the adjacent 57 Degrees bar

Fishmonger's Market & Seafood Bar is located in 57 Degrees at 1735 Hancock Street and is anticipated to open late-September.
