Art San Diego Contemporary Art Show Heads To Del Mar Fairgrounds This September 28 - October 1

September 9, 2017

The largest contemporary art show in San Diego returns for a four-day run this September 28 through October 1. Art San Diego features more than 60 international galleries with 15,000 attendees annually during its limited engagement, and this year the event moves from its longtime home in Balboa Park to a larger venue - the scenic Wyland Center at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. We are offering our readers 2-for-1 tickets and also raffling off 2 all-access Collector's Passes.

Art San Diego 2017 will feature 60 galleries and studio artists from around the world, showcasing over 500 artists and their paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, videos and cutting-edge multimedia artworks. The show, renowned in the art world for its museum exhibitions, special events, themed-art projects and inspiring art talks, is owned by Redwood Media Group, which also owns and operates fine art shows Artexpo New York, Spectrum Miami, Art Santa Fe, and Red Dot Miami.

"Moving Art San Diego to Del Mar gives us space to expand our exhibits, showcase larger installations and opens up exciting new creative possibilities," said Eric Smith, president and CEO of Redwood Media Group. "We have an amazing 30,000 square-foot space with outdoor plazas and convenient ample parking. This allows us to enhance our exhibits while providing guests with a high-end experience."

Founded in 2009 as the first and only contemporary art show in San Diego, Art San Diego is now an annual showcase, featuring not only San Diego’s most talented artists, but also leading artists from around the globe. The show has enriched the city each year with compelling site and theme-specific art projects, art talks and panel discussions, a selection of dynamic and cutting-edge film, video and new media works, and a curated selection of emerging and spotlight artists. Since its inception, the show has seen the sale of more than $10 million of artwork, showcased more than 15,000 art pieces and exhibits and hosted over 100 Art Talks and special Art Lab installations.

Art San Diego kicks off with a fun-filled opening night party on September 28 from 7-9pm.
