To celebrate with San Diego residents, the first guest in line on September 20 will receive a $100 Dunkin’ Donuts gift card, and the first 50 customers to visit will receive a swag bag filled with branded items. Local dignitaries will be invited to join in a ribbon cutting ceremony and partake in grand opening festivities alongside the community. Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to sample a variety of Dunkin’ Donuts menu items and snap photos with beloved brand mascot, Cuppy. Following the ribbon cutting, Dunkin’ Donuts will be donating $1,000 to the Travis Manion Foundation, a charity that empowers veterans and families of fallen soldiers to develop character in future generations.
The downtown San Diego location will be operated by disabled veteran-owned business, Burton Restaurants, LLC. Burton Restaurants, LLC’s ownership and management team is comprised of military veterans with over 60 years of service between them including wartime deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition, the franchise group owns and operates Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants at Camp Pendleton, MCAS Miramar, 601 Pacific Hwy and Balboa Naval Hospital, with more locations on the way.
The new San Diego restaurant is part of the DD Green Achievement program, meaning its design features a variety of energy efficient and sustainable elements, such as low-flow faucets, high performance windows, and more. The downtown Dunkin’ Donuts location will be open Monday through Friday from 5am to 8pm, Saturdays from 6am to 7pm, and Sundays from 7am to 5pm.
