Gelato Paradiso Opening Coronado Location

December 8, 2017

Gelato Paradiso, which first emerged in Orange County almost two decades ago, is opening its fourth overall location, and its second location in San Diego County in mid-December on Coronado Island. The concept is based on small batches of gelato and sorbetto handcrafted daily in-house, using imported Italian ingredients and locally sourced produce.

Locals familiar with the brand’s location inside The Headquarters at Seaport Village will immediately recognize the colorful presentation and bold flavors of the over 30 gelato and sorbetto recipes beautifully displayed in an authentic Italian dipping cabinet. Gelato Paradiso recipes were crafted with considerable passion and expertise by Sicilian chefs and the company’s longtime Production Manager Pedro Quevedo. With an updated design, look and logo, this new location on Coronado will showcase gelato being made on site in a beautiful state of the art kitchen with a viewing window for the public.

"We're really happy about the new look and feel of this new store," said Gelato Paradiso Store Manager Petra Cornelius. "It's really exciting. This will be our flagship store for us moving forward."

Since setting up shop in 1999, Gelato Paradiso crafts their gelato with natural ingredients, including the highest quality nuts, chocolates, and extracts imported directly from Italy. Up to 30 distinct flavors of gelato and fresh fruit sorbetto are made daily at their shops in Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, San Diego, and now Coronado Island. All flavors are available in a cup, fresh-made waffle cone, shake, or affogato (drenched with espresso), and can also be packaged for takeaway.
Gelato Paradiso is located at 918 Orange Avenue in the heart of Coronado. For more information, visit gelatoparadiso.com.
