Heading into the Coronado Municipal Golf Course is a new restaurant from a team of industry insiders that includes the owners of Breakfast Republic and La Jolla's Harry's Coffee Shop.
Coronado Bayside Grill , which has been in business since 1957, ends its lease with the Coronado Municipal Golf Course this August, so the property has been seeking suitors for its clubhouse restaurant since last year. While numerous proposals have been submitted, a special committee reviewed finalists, which included Cohn Restaurant Group, and chose to move forward with a concept titled Feast & Fareway, which will be operated in partnership between Johan Engman of Breakfast Republic, John Rudolph of Harry's Coffee Shop, and Tom Penn of Real Restaurant Solutions.
Feast & Fareway is expected to open at the golf course as early as this August. After a substantial remodel of the space, the restaurant will be operated by Engman's Rise and Shine Restaurant Group. Expect a menu of California cuisines served within an indoor and outdoor space with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and grab-and-go service.
