Now open in the space that last housed Namaste Dining in downtown San Diego is Tropical Savor Bar & Grill, a Latino-Caribbean bar and restaurant.
From owner Elinson Ventura-Foster, Tropical Savor Bar & Grill is an island-themed venue that serves a menu of Latin Caribbean cuisine with authentic dishes from Puerto Rico, the Domincan Republic, Trinadad, Cuba and Jamaica - including specialties like arepitas mini arepas, tostones fried plantains, sancocho stew soup, Locrio de pollo yellow rice chicken, Chivo Guisado stewed goat, Rabo de Vaca Guisada stewed oxtails, and many others. Tropical Savor also offers a full bar with tropical cocktails, sangria, beer and wine, as well as freshly squeezed juices. Owners state that the restaurant only uses the freshest ingredients including organic produce and meats.
