Chinese Bubble Tea & Waffle Chain Happy Lemon To Land On San Diego's Convoy Street

June 26, 2018

With more than 500 branches in 100 different cities around the globe, Happy Lemon will soon open its first San Diego branch and biggest outpost yet on Convoy Street in Kearny Mesa, offering a large array of handmade teas (including salted cheese tea?!), as well as bubble waffles.

Founded in Shanghai, China in 2006 by Yummy Town Holdings founder Albert Wu - who also started such global brands as RBT Tea Cafe, The Spiceland, and Alma - Happy Lemon is a fast-casual bubble tea chain that has branches in cities all over the world, including throughout China, United States, Australia, Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, and Thailand. Eateries are designed in bright colors to create a happy & energetic brand image, and the menu is based around bubble tea and other flavored drinks made with quality ingredients.

Happy Lemon's first San Diego outpost will be operated by franchisee Twin Peaks Elite, LLC, and will open this July within the space that last housed Tea Garden. It will be the largest Happy Lemon location in the world to date. In addition to a large selection of bubble teas, including the signature "rock salted cheese" varieties (creamy and enriched froth mixed with rock salt), this branch will also serve handheld eggpuff waffles. There will also be milk teas, lemon teas, boba teas, smoothies and other drinks on the menu.

Happy Lemon San Diego will be located at 4633 Convoy Street, Suite 107 in Kearny Mesa. For more information, visit happy-lemon.com/en.
