As part of San Diego Comic-Con this year, NBC will be re-creating “The Good Place” neighborhood by transforming Tin Fish restaurant in the Gaslamp Quarter - complete with giveaways, free food, and the chance to snap photos with iconic elements from the hit television series.
We announced earlier this month that downtown San Diego's Greystone Steak & Seafood would be transformed into a Demolition Man-themed upscale Taco Bell during Comic-Con International 2018, but that's not the only themed-restaurant conversion taking place at this year's festival. The Tin Fish restaurant will be transformed into “"Good Plates," with 50 percent of the sales of a designated menu item to be be donated to No Kid Hungry, a campaign from the national anti-poverty nonprofit Share Our Strength. Registered fans will also receive a wrist-band that will maximize the full-sensory activation (pre-register here).
In addition to the activation, Universal Television is bring a “Good Place” panel to the convention on Saturday, July 21, from 11:00 – 11:50am in the Indigo Ballroom. Stars Ted Danson, Kristen Bell, William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, D’Arcy Carden, Manny Jacinto and executive producers Michael Schur, Morgan Sackett and Drew Goddard will all be onsite for the conversation and may even make an appearance at the themed-restaurant following the panel.
Fans looking to recharge during Comic-Con can also visit NBC's Manifest lounge, open from Thursday, July 19 to Sunday, July 22 at the Hard Rock Hotel, which will feature an oxygen bar, charging station and opportunities to preview a new television series.
