From Owner Of Poki One N Half, Kimae Ramen Will Soon Open In La Jolla

October 17, 2018

The team behind an expanding San Diego-based chain of poke eateries, Poki One N Half, is getting into the ramen game. Kimae Ramen will open later this month in La Jolla.

Yoojin Jeon opened her first Poki One N Half in Kearny Mesa in late 2016 and the concept now has five San Diego outposts, as well as one in Santa Ana, CA. When Fins Mexican Eatery closed up shop in La Jolla Village Square plaza, where Jeon also has a Poki location, she decided to diversify her culinary creations and embrace the ramen trend.

Kimae Ramen will open as early as next week with a menu featuring 4 types of ramen, including a vegetarian version, as well as salads, 11 sushi rolls, desserts and Japanese appetizers like gyoza, crispy chicken, takoyaki fried octopus balls, bao buns and more. The restaurant will have both indoor and outdoor dining options and also serve an array of Japanese beer, wine and sake.

Kimae Ramen will sit at 8657 Villa La Jolla Drive, Suite 103, within the La Jolla Village Square shopping center and is expected to open as early as Friday, October 26. For more information, feel free to peruse the menu below.
