A decade since the first-ever San Diego Beer Week, America’s Finest City is now regarded for its award-winning brewing community and has rightfully earned the nickname, Capital of Craft. This year, the San Diego Brewers Guild will bring back its 10-day celebration of all things craft beer from November 2-11, with a whole host of events including the 2018 Guild Fest on Saturday, November 3 and The Beer Garden closing pairing festival at The Lodge Torrey Pines on Sunday, November 11. We are raffling off two passes to the Brewers Guild Fest, as well as offering a way to save $10 on tickets!
"San Diego Beer Week is the perfect way for both locals and tourists to enjoy our region’s vibrant craft brewing community," said Paige McWey, Executive Director of the San Diego Brewers Guild. "This year, we're especially excited to give fans a completely revamped Guild Fest to start the week. We think attendees will really enjoy the new location in Downtown and be pumped to try beers from our neighboring California and Mexico guilds, as well as the option to pre-party on a boat in the San Diego Bay."
For the first time ever, regional brewery guilds from outside of San Diego, such as the Mexicali Brewers Guild, Sacramento Brewers Guild, Orange County Brewers Guild, Los Angeles Brewers Guild and more to be announced, will be pouring beers alongside SDBG brewery members at the Guild Fest on Saturday, November 3, taking place at a new location - the Embarcadero Marina Park South. Fans may choose between general admission passes or a brand-new VIP harbor cruise experience.
Tickets to the San Diego Brewers Guild Festival are available online. General admission passes are $50 and include access to the event from 2-5pm, unlimited samples from more than 60 independent breweries and a commemorative tasting cup. VIP passes are $90 and include everything that GA tickets get plus a 60-minute VIP Harbor Cruise with small food bites and specialty beers aboard the boat and early entrance into the main festival beginning at 1:30pm.
Closing out SDBW is the Beer Garden at the beautiful Arroyo Terrace of the Lodge in Torrey Pines. From noon to 3pm on Sunday, November 11, guests will enjoy unlimited tasters of local craft beers from 28 breweries, creatively paired with artisanal food from 14 chefs. With live musical entertainment and panoramic ocean views, this event is the most exquisite end to SDBW. All-inclusive general admission tickets are $85, while ‘Designated Driver’ tickets cost $50 (plus tax and service fees) and come with non-alcoholic beverages. Tickets for the Beer Garden may also be purchased online.
