Los Angeles-Based French Bistro & Wine Bar To Land In Little Italy | Zinqué To Debut In 2019

November 12, 2018

Moving into the 3,000 square-foot ground floor space in Little Italy's newest mixed-used complex is Zinqué - a French bistro, cafe and wine bar with three Southern California locations already in operation.

First founded in Los Angeles in 2011 by Emanual Renaud, Venkataramana Arimilli, and Howard Brady, Zinqué is an all-day French cafe & bistro concept that currently has three branches - Venice Beach, West Hollywood, and Newport Beach. The restaurants offer modern and traditional French-inspired dishes for brunch, lunch and dinner, as well as fresh baked breads and pastries.

Zinqué’s most southerly location will soon begin installing within the recently unveiled AV8 mixed-use retail and residential development in San Diego's Little Italy, which will also house a SuperNatural Sandwiches restaurant, a Bobboi Gelato location, and a new F45 Gym. Like other outposts, it will be designed with a central bar, wooden tables, a fireplace, and wrought-iron windows. In addition to a wine bar and chic interior spaces, Zinqué will have a streetside takeout counter offering coffee drinks made with La Colombe beans, as well as Mariage Frères teas and freshly made bakery items.

Highlights from Zinqué’s menu include a variety of charcuterie & cheese boards, salads, bowls, tartines, flatbreads, sandwiches and a large array of entrees. The restaurant also offers healthier options like the jam-packed Le Bowl, Quinoa Salad, or Tuna Tartare Tartine and is also known for nightly specials like Paella Night and Moules-Frites Night.

Zinqué Restaurant & Wine Bar is expected to open by mid-2019 at 2155 Kettner Boulevard in San Diego's Little Italy. For more information, visit lezinque.com and check out the menus below.
